By Nia Bender

COLORADO SPRINGS – Who doesn’t love more money in their pocket, even if it’s just a little bit? Colorado Springs sales and use tax rate is decreasing a little. In November of last year, voters approved a five-year extension of the 2c sales tax that generates revenue specifically for road improvements.

The extension is at a reduced tax rate of 0.57-percent, down from the original 0.62-percent. Effective on January 1st, the new City of Colorado Springs sales and use tax rate will be 3.07-percent for all transactions.
