COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado Springs Utilities crews are working to repair a broken water main that gave way Wednesday at about 8:30 p.m. The water flooded out Chelton Rd. and it’s currently closed between Astrozon and Barkman Cr.
Repairs are expected to take a while as they dig up the roadway to replace the water main. Crews are hoping to get it repaired and restore the street by Friday, but winter weather could hamper those efforts. The closure is impacting drivers in the area.
In order to get around the emergency repairs, you can use either Areoplaza or Jet Wing as an alternate route.
