COLORADO SPRINGS – Pet owners in one southwest Colorado Springs neighborhood are warning people to watch over their pets carefully when they’re outside. Reportedly, several pets in the Skyway neighborhood are concerned after multiple dogs have been poisoned in recent weeks. The latest dog died about two weeks ago.
After the owners of the dog posted on a social media site, they learned other dogs in the area were poisoned as well. Back in 2017, two neighbor’s dogs were beaten to death. Many who live in the area want people to be cautious with their pets because they say it’s a major problem and something needs to be done.
About a year ago, pet owners were warned about poison-laced meat and dog treats along the Midland Trail.
