EL PASO COUNTY – A woman is dead and a 36-year old suspect is on the run Friday morning. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office was called to an area near the 700 block of Highway 105 in Palmer Lake at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon, where they found a woman shot to death.
Law enforcement agencies across the Front Range are now searching for Jose Alfredo Romero. He also goes by Jose Romero-Romero and he drives an older model black BMW SUV. Authorities say he’s considered armed and dangerous, so you should not personally confront him. If you do see him or his vehicle, contact the Investigations Tip line at 719-520-6666.
Investigators worked well through the night to collect evidence and speak to witnesses in the area on Thursday night. The identity of the woman has not been released by the Sheriff’s Office as of Friday morning.
