Three people displaced by early morning house fire

COLORADO SPRINGS – Three people are displaced from their house after an early morning fire in the 4600 block of Gatewood Drive off Chelton and Gatewood. Firefighters were called to the home at about 3:20 a.m. Wednesday morning. When they arrived, the house was full of smoke. Crews had to tear down the ceiling in the house to put out the flames.

Fire investigators are looking into the cause of the fire, but it’s believed there may have been some kind of problem with the home’s fireplace or chimney. No one was injured.
