Tough commutes, delays, and closures Thursday morning

COLORADO SPRINGS – Expect tricky road conditions Thursday morning as you head out. Snow overnight left roads icy and snow-packed. Getting out of your own neighborhood will be the first of your challenges.  If you have plans to be on I-25 through the GAP project between Monument and Castle Rock, plows have worked all night, but it’s still icy. Speeds have also been lowered on the stretch for safety reasons.

If you have to travel south this morning, the Passenger Vehicle Traction Law and chain Law for commercial vehicles are in effect between Trinidad and the New Mexico border. Raton Pass is extremely rough currently. You can check road conditions if you plan on statewide travel by clicking here.

-Colorado Springs and Fountain are on ACCIDENT ALERT-

There are plenty of closures and delays this morning in the region as well and you can check on those here.
