One person is dead, and a home was destroyed by a fire near Green Mountain Falls on the morning of Nov. 9. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is now invesetigating the fire. Fire crews were on scene by 6:30 a.m. and quickly requested back up from other agencies. The structure was quickly destroyed, but it was the only structure affected by flames. Early reports claimed that the fire was in the Cascade area. The name of the decesased hasn’t been released.
