The Colorado Springs City Council has approved an increase in natural gas and electric rates. Starting on Nov. 15, utility customers will see their bill go up by approximately $28.52 depending on use. Colorado Springs Utility officials say they know it’s a difficult time for customers, and there are programs available to help. They encourage anyone struggling to contact the Pikes Peak United Way, or dial 211 for more information.
