Corey Elenga, 34, is currently in custody for suspected arson. Around three o’clock on Saturday afternoon, officers were sent to the 4200 block of Drennan Road for a possible robbery. When officers found Elenga, he had two large kitchen knives in his hands. He refused to comply with officers, who had to detain him. While dealing with Elenga, officers saw a fire had started in the home. Police called the Colorado Springs Fire Department and they put out the fire. How much damage was done to the home isn’t clear and there were no injuries reported. Elenga is facing multiple charges.
