A man is in custody this morning after he allegedly vandalized a business, started a fire and threatened people with machete on Saturday. Springs Police say 35-year-old William Shadden was standing on the roof of a business in the 1600 block of South Nevada holding the machete. Officers tried to peacefully talk with Shadden, but he threw bricks at officers. Shadden then allegedly broke windows, entered the building, and started a fire. Shortly after he was taken into custody, and there’s no word on how much damage was cuased.
