While thousands of schools across the country try to figure out how to handle in-person classes after a surge in COVID cases, one local school district is going back to mask requirements. Cheyenne Mountain School District 12 announced yesterday they will require masks in all indoor settings in the district. The requirement extends to students, parents, visitors and staff. D-12 said in December that they would not require masks in classes this semester. However, the D-12 Superintendent says they reinstated the mask requirement out of concerns that COVID exposure isolation times would limit students’ ability to go to in-person classes.
