King Soopers workers in the Springs area will not go on strike today, but thousands of union workers in the Denver Metro area are currently in picket lines outside stores. Workers here in the Springs are not striking because some union members have contracts lasting until next month. Some local union members say that a strike in the Springs isn’t off the table in the future. King Soopers says they expect all their stores to be open today across the state, as they have brought in other employees and hired many temp workers.
