Air Force Academy cadet’s death was likely connected to a football injury

COLORADO SPRINGS–We’re learning more about the recent death of an air force Academy Cadet. Twenty-one-year-old Hunter Brown passed away early last month on his way to class. According to the autopsy report, Brown died from pulmonary thromboembolism due to deep vein thrombosis that was likely connected to an injury he sustained during football practice. Brown completed winning seasons with the Falcon Football team in 2021 and 2022. He was pursuing a major in management and a minor in French. Air Force Academy Superintendent Lt. Gen. Richard Clark says Brown was a standout offensive lineman on the Falcon Football team and was well respected on his squadron.
