A man died Sunday after being swept away by flood waters in Beulah. The victim was near Central Avenue and Highway 78 when he was caught up in flood waters from slow moving thunderstorms. The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office said Beulah fire officials and other first responders used ground and air resources trying to save him. The victim was found 2 miles away and was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as 80 year old Henry Humphries. Authorities have been warning for several weeks about the potential of flooding because of the Aspen Acres burn scar.
