Specialized units from the Fountain Police department and the Colorado Springs Police department teamed up Thursday to apprehend a 15 year male who was under investigation for attempted armed robbery and motor vehicle theft. The suspect was spotted in the 5100 block of Eros way. A drone went up and ground units arrived in the area. The suspect crawled into the basement window of a home in the neighborhood. Authorities gave repeated commands to come out. He refused. Units went in with a search warrant and a canine officer. The suspect was found in the attic of the home and taken into custody. He is in the juvenile detention center facing numerous charges including attempted aggravated robbery, attempted aggravated motor vehicle theft, menacing with a deadly weapon, and possession of a handgun by juvenile.
