COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A man was hospitalized after a homemade firework exploded while he was throwing them out the window of a car.
It happened Wednesday night near Circle and Fountain.
A male was driving around with several other people, throwing fireworks, when the window didn’t go down properly. One of the fireworks went off in the man’s hand, causing serious injuries. No one else was hurt.
Other explosive devices were removed from the vehicle by a bomb squad. No arrests have been made.
