EL PASO COUNTY, CO – Heavy rain caused flash flooding in Colorado Springs, Monday.
Several drivers had to be rescued from stranded vehicles. Some homes and businesses on the west side, and in Manitou Springs, also flooded during the deluge.
Hail and fast moving water stranded drivers along 30th Street near Garden Of The Gods.
Drivers helped one another out of the mess until city crews with a front end loader arrived to push hail off the road. It took over an hour to reopen the road, around 3 p.m.
There were no injuries. More storms are possible today.
