La Plata County, CO – Elaine Hall of Monument says she was ready for Wednesday’s announcement, that her son, Dylan Redwine, was the victim of a homicide.
The La Plata County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that his father, Mark Redwine, is now a person of interest in his disappearance and death. Dylan vanished in 2012 while on a court-ordered visit to his father’s home near Durango.
The 13-year-old’s remains were found months later in a mountainous area near his father’s home. Investigators say Mark Redwine is considered a person of interest based on evidence, inconsistent statements and behavior over the course of the investigation.
He has not been officially labeled a suspect.
