Fort Carson soldiers remain hospitalized in stable condition

DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO – Two Fort Carson soldiers remain hospitalized in stable condition after a helicopter crash in Douglas County, Wednesday.

A Blackhawk helicopter, carrying four crew members, made a hard landing in a wooded area during a training mission.

Investigators from the Army Combat Readiness Center in Alabama are deploying to the Mountain Post to lead a review of the accident. The site has been secured and the aircraft will not be moved until the investigation is complete.

The soldiers involved are part of Fort Carson’s 4th Combat Aviation Brigade.
