DENVER, CO – Just a few days after the deadly shooting at Planned Parenthood, discussions have already turned political.
A pro-choice group met at the state capital Tuesday, and many supporters said they blamed right-wing politicians for the shooting because of recent anti-abortion rhetoric.
Reports of the shooter making anti-planned parenthood comments during his arrest have not been confirmed. The national abortion federation says since 1977, eight providers have been killed and 17 others faced murder attempts. And, clinics providing legal abortions have been the targets of 42 bombings and 186 arson fires.
