DENVER, CO – Denver Police Officer Antonio Lopez is out of surgery and remains in critical condition.
Police are searching for suspects after Lopez was shot and critically injured during a traffic stop Tuesday. The officer was shot up to seven times near 37th and Federal. A suspect was also shot in the leg, and officers are searching for possibly two others.
Police are trying to determine whether the shooting was related to an earlier carjacking.
