EL PASO COUNTY, CO – Multiple grass fires broke out around the Pikes Peak region Tuesday.

In Colorado Springs, a small fire was reported on Academy Park Loop, near the Nazarene Bible College. It scorched around 20 acres. The cause is unknown.

The Fountain Fire Department reported a grass fire in the area of Rustique Drive and Comanche Village Drive.  A downed power line was responsible for the blaze that burned a little less than half an acre.

Two other fires were reported near Pueblo Motorsports Park, burning roughly six acres. Two adults were cited for starting the fires.
