YUMA COUNTY, CO – In northeast Colorado, Yuma County authorities are assessing damage and looking for more people injured, following Saturday’s tornado in Wray.
Deputies say five people were injured and some buildings were damaged by the twister estimated to be half-a-mile wide.
Several other tornadoes were reported in the area, which is near the Nebraska border. In Morgan County a multi-vortex tornado was reported over Interstate 76 near Wiggins. At least a dozen trailers were overturned. Another tornado caused damage to buildings in Weld County. The sheriff’s office says no one was injured.
A fair chance for more severe weather on the eastern plains this afternoon.
