All permitted firework shows in Colorado Springs have been cancelled by the Colorado Springs Fire Department. Officials cite the hot weather and dry conditions throughout the city for the order. Fire officials are comparing these conditions to those prior to the Waldo Canyon Fire in 2012. The Ford Amphitheatre’s Star- Spangled Symphony Show is also postponed Saturday. Red Flag conditions for high fire danger continue today in Colorado Springs and El Paso County with more hot temperatures and breezy conditions expected.
