Colorado Springs police are still investigating the shooting death of a woman last night during a standoff. They were called to an apartment complex in the 5600 block of Cedar Creek View in Stetson Hills on reports of gunfire. Witnesses said someone was firing shots into the complex. Police found the suspect with a weapon and ordered her to drop the gun. She refused. While giving her additional orders a gunshot was heard. Officers discovered she had been shot. Despite first aid she died. Springs police say no officer fired their weapons during the incident. The victim has not yet been identified.
