FREMONT COUNTY, CO – Fremont County Road 40 is closed after flash flooding in the area of the Hayden Pass Fire burn scar. a dam there is holding, but Butter Creek and Little Cottonwood Creek are flowing heavy with debris.
All homes are intact and all residents in the area are safe.
An emergency notification was sent to area residents for a flash flood warning Tuesday evening.
Bridges on County Road 40 were washed out by flood water.
Search and rescue teams responded as a precaution.
