MEEKER, CO – A Colorado Springs couple is safe after their plane went down in subzero temps just east of Meeker on Saturday.
The Civil Air Patrol was able to guide search teams until they found the small aircraft after it sent out a distress call and crashed into the flat tops wilderness in Garfield County.
The couple was taken to a medical center in Meeker for treatment of minor injuries.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
