FOUNTAIN, CO – Two men, who were already in jail, are now charged with a carjacking in Fountain last month.
26-year-old Michael Martinez, and 25-year-old Juan Herrera are accused in the crime, which happened at a gas station On Fountain Mesa Road.
A woman was gassing up her car when a man got into the driver’s seat and started the vehicle. In a struggle with the suspect, she was dragged a short distance as he drove off.
She was not seriously hurt. Police found the car several days later. Both men are charged with aggravated motor vehicle theft.
