Three people dead following head-on crash in far southeastern Colorado Wednesday morning

 

BACA COUNTY, CO – Three people are dead following a head-on crash in far southeastern Colorado early Wednesday morning.

State Patrol says a semi-trailer going south on Highway 287 veered into the northbound lanes and collided head-on into another tractor-trailer.

A third trucker tried to avoid the wreckage and hit a fence.

The crash happened between the towns of Springfield and Campo in Baca County near the Colorado/Oklahoma border.

The names of the deceased have not been released.
