The U.S. Marshals Service and several local law enforcement agencies are working together to put wanted sex offenders behind bars

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The U.S. Marshals Service and several local law enforcement agencies are working together to put wanted sex offenders behind bars.

Officials announced yesterday that 27 fugitives were arrested over the weekend as part of Operation Pikes Peak Roundup.

In addition to the arrests, officers closed nearly 50 open warrants and found leads on over 50 other fugitives.

The effort involved the Marshals Service, the Colorado Springs Police Department, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
