A woman pleaded guilty to forgery and voting twice in an election in El Paso County Court on Tuesday

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A woman pleaded guilty to forgery and voting twice in an election in El Paso County Court on Tuesday.

59-year old Sarilu Sosa-Sanchez, forged her deceased mother’s signature on a November ballot and then voted on her own ballot.

Sanchez is sentenced to pay restitution, court fees and she’ll help the Clerk and Recorders Office to educate citizens on the consequences of voter fraud.

She also has to do 60 hours of community service.
