COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Two Colorado Springs residents are facing charges for owning a dangerous dog.
Sunday evening, police and Humane Society personnel went to an apartment near San Miguel and Hancock to seize a pit bull that had attacked other dogs in the complex.
The residents refused to come out.
Police went in and animal control officers detained the animal.
No one was hurt.
29 year old Jimmy Gravitt and 57 year old Kathleen Wheeler were cited for obstruction and ownership of a dangerous animal.
Both have been released.
The dog remains in custody.
