ELLICOTT, CO – Local authorities spent much of Tuesday busting illegal marijuana grows in the area.
The Drug Enforcement Agency assisted the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department raid at least eight homes and locations near Ellicott.
Roughly 800 pot plants were seized.
Law enforcement says this has been a months-long investigation targeting Cuban smuggling cartels.
Three people were arrested and more are expected to be jailed.
