COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo now has a new baby orangutan.
Thirty-year-old Sumagu gave birth to her third Wednesday night.
Mother and infant remain at their exhibit in primate world.
The newborn is clinging tightly to mom, so zoo staff haven’t intervened to determine the sex yet.
This follows the birth of a giraffe calf Monday night at the zoo.
