A Colorado Springs policeman shot in the line of duty is “holding his own.”
The department says officer Cem Duzel remains in critical but stable condition.
Early Thursday, Duzel was responding to gunfire a few blocks east of the Olympic Training Center when he was shot and gravely wounded.
The suspect, 31-year-old Karrar Al-Khammasi is behind bars on multiple charges.
