A man reportedly tied to a cold-case murder will be tried as an adult.
46-year-old James Japol is behind bars for the 1988 death of Mary Lynn Vialpando.
Papol was arrested last year after DNA linked him to the unsolved crime. Vialpando was found raped and murdered in Old Colorado City.
Papol, was only 15 when he allegedly committed the crime.
He will remain in the state mental health hospital during the trial.
