The Broadmoor Hotel wants to expand its exhibition space to accommodate the Space Symposium and attract more meetings and conferences.
The Gazette reports, a 93,000-square-foot exhibition hall has been proposed as an addition to Broadmoor Hall.
The Space Symposium is the city’s biggest annual convention, bringing up to 9,000 visitors a day.
The hall’s cost, to be privately funded, isn’t yet known.
The hotel hopes to start construction this year and open the venue in 2020.
A public meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Cheyenne Lodge on South Club Drive.
