Normal Operations After Suspicious Object Reported at Peterson Air Force Base

Some tense moments at Peterson Air Force Base Monday evening.

Scanner traffic indicated that police were searching for a white man who was in the commissary as a possible active shooter.

Then an alert was issued about a suspicious object.

People near the B-X and commissary were told to shelter in place and the gates to the base were closed.

A short time later, the all clear was given and normal operations resumed.

The base did not say what the object was, just that it had been misidentified.
