A manhunt is underway after a man shot a Costilla County Deputy Wednesday morning.
Jackie Wampler Jr. is 5’5 and weighs around 145 pounds.
Authorities believe he’s still in the Costilla County area.
He is considered armed and dangerous.
The deputy was investigating a burglary in the Forbes Ranch area and was shot multiple times.
The deputy is in stable condition at San Lius Valley Regional Medical Center.
