Authorities have identified the suspect in a shooting near Memorial Park on October 8th.
It happened on Prospect Lake Drive, authorities found a victim with a gunshot wound, he was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Monday, 49-year-old Demetrius Howard of Colorado Springs was taken into custody on charges of first-degree assault.
This case is still an active investigation.
