The Pueblo man accused of killing and dismembering his mother is formally charged with first degree murder.
36-year-old Anthony Cuevas made a video appearance yesterday morning in Pueblo to hear the charges against him.
Pueblo police said Cuevas is the man seen in surveillance video throwing away a suitcase containing his mother’s body.
Cuevas’ wife, Melanie, remains a person of interest in the case.
Anthony Cuevas will be back in court next week.
