A lake in Colorado Springs’ Memorial Park is available for recreational use again.
City officials announced Wednesday that Prospect Lake is safe to use after a 12 week closure due to high levels of toxic algae.
In a statement, city health and safety officials said they are continuing to address ways to protect the long-term health of the lake.
