No criminal charges are being filed against two Colorado Springs Police officers in the fatal shooting of 19-year-old De’von Bailey.
District Attorney Dan May released a statement saying a grand jury found both officers justified in their use of deadly force when they shot and killed Bailey back on August 3rd.
The Bailey’s attorney, Lori Newman, says this was a blow for the family, but they’re not surprised.
She continued by saying the system was designed to find the officers innocent.
Newman expects the bailey family to take this case to Federal Court.
