Governor Jared Polis will not order an independent investigation into the De’von Bailey case.
The Governor had initially expressed interest in having an independent investigation immediately after the shooting.
The Governor’s Office expressed support for the Bailey family, but declined to press further action in the case.
Bailey was killed on August 3rd and video of the shooting shows him running from officers when he was shot.
