“The Heat is On” campaign begins Friday with special statewide DUI enforcement ahead of New Year’s Eve.
It’s a combined effort between CDOT, Colorado State Patrol and local law enforcement agencies.
In 2018, more than 330 impaired drivers were arrested during the campaign.
People are encouraged to take advantage of discounted or free rides home if they’ve been drinking.
The heightened patrols run through January 2nd.
