Camping once again allowed in El Paso County

EL PASO COUNTY – Camping in El Paso County is now available again. Public health officials issued the notice of determination to reopen on Wednesday.

There are specific rules to be followed. Reservations are required, there’s a limit on how many people can gather (no more than ten) and social distancing must be followed.

Campgrounds have to keep all of their facilities cleaned and disinfected, signage reminding people to be social distanced has to be in place and in some cases, visitor centers will be closed.

Meanwhile, playgrounds and playground equipment, picnic areas and pools will remain closed for the time being. For more information on camping in Colorado, click here,
