EL PASO COUNTY – At least one person is dead following a crash on Highway 24. The Colorado State Patrol says a pickup truck was traveling east between Garrett Road and Constitution Avenue when it veered into oncoming traffic late Tuesday afternoon. The highway was closed for hours and has since reopened.
The pickup hit a Ford Explorer head-on, killing the driver of the 4×4. The driver of the pickup and three passengers in the Explorer were hospitalized with injuries. the cause of the crash is still being investigated.
