EL PASO COUNTY – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has identified a pilot who died in a small plane crash east of Falcon. The crash happened Wednesday on McCandlish Road. When the sheriff’s department and Falcon Fire Department arrived, they found the plane on fire with 46-year-old John O’dell inside. There were no other people inside the plane. According to witnesses, it seemed the plane was trying to land when it flipped over and came to rest upside down. The Federal Aviation Administration is handling the investigation.
