Federal prosecutors will not seek the death penalty for confessed planned parenthood shooter Robert Deer

DENVER – Federal prosecutors will not seek the death penalty in the case of confessed planned parenthood shooter Robert Deer. Federal prosecutors informed the court of the decision Wednesday. Deer is facing 65 counts of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act and three counts of use of a firearm during a crime of violence resulting in death where killing is murder. The indictment states deer went to the clinic to “wage war” because they offered abortion services. Deer is accused of killing UCCS police officer Garret Swasey, Ke-arre Stewart, and Jennifer Markovsky during the attack.
