Monday in Colorado Springs vials of the Pfizer Covid vaccine began arriving at area hospitals. Some 6700 vials of the vaccine came to El Paso County. At U-C Memorial Health Central close to 30 hospital employees received injections yesterday. More than 46 thousand vials of the Pfizer vaccine arrived in Colorado Monday, with more on the way. The Moderna vaccine is expected to receive emergency approval from the Food and Drug administration Thursday. Colorado officials have ordered more than 95 thousands vials of the Moderna vaccine, which is expected in the state sometime early next week. State officials say most residents will begin receiving the vaccine in the spring of 2021.
